The Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshire's inspiring new art
gallery, celebrating the area's unique artistic legacy and
exploring the work of major contemporary artists.
Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, our ten superb
gallery spaces make this one of the UK's largest purpose-built
galleries outside London.

Axis and Creative Times visited The Hepworth Wakefield just
before it opened in May 2011 and interviewed the Director Simon
Wallis. Watch
the interview and hear Simon talking about his approach as a
director and his ambitions for the gallery.
